Welcome to NXP's PIP8000 PMBus controller.
System Requirements:
- Windows 2k or higher
- Internet Explorer 6 or higher
- Default security settings (Medium in IE6, Medium-high for IE7)
Software Installation:
- You must have "Power User" rights to install the ActiveX control.
- From the Configuration page you can install the device drivers, for this you must have Administrator rights.
Hardware Installation:
- After installing the software drivers and GUI, select "manual" on the top right of the screen to get a user manual and detailed connection information.
- Connect USB-to-I2C dongle to your PC.
- Connect the PIP8000 demo board I2C connector to the USB-to-I2C dongle.
- Connect 12V power to the PIP8000 demo board.
- Without the hardware, the software can be loaded but has limited functionality.

It may take a while to install the ActiveX, you can follow the progress at the IE status bar.
If, instead of the login screen, a box with a red cross appears, either:
- ActiveX is not enabled: change your browser security settings.
- ActiveX is not supported: Install the latest version of MS Internet Explorer to view the site
- You are using a pop-up blocker.
- You do not have the correct user rights: Please contact your system administrator.
- ActiveX is blocked because of your company's internet security policy: Please contact your system administrator.
